I just started playing Heavy Rain on my PS3. I’ve enjoyed what I’ve played so far, but it’s hard to recommend. The opening is a slow burn intended to get you connected to the character and his family’s tragic storyline. So far it feels pretty linear but I’m excited to see where Quantic Dream’s story takes me.

Can you catch the Origami Killer?
The latest addition to my board game collection has arrived from Grindhouse Games. I can’t wait to get my first game in. The riveting Weird War 2 setting & artwork with Space Hulk play style has me rapidly assembling and painting my miniatures. The game looks great and I hope that Grindhouse is successful enough to expand the game with additional units and scenarios. Good luck guys!
One thing is for sure, gamers love to accessorize. When Battlefoam’s new Privateer Press bags were announced I knew that I needed to have one.
Today my new gamer bling arrived and I couldn’t wait to fill the case up with my Pirate Mercenary army. Damn, this is the gold standard of miniature bags, now I have to show off this hot little number at my Local Gaming Store. I can’t wait for league night.

I don’t think that I’m over stating that EA Active is saving my life one workout at a time.
My co-workers decided to do a biggest loser contest for the first 3 months of 2010 with a little cash prized for the highest percentage of weight loss. This was just the motivation I needed. I cut down the calories and decided to start working out using the EA Active 30 Day Challenge. I finished my first challenge 25 pounds lighter and I decided to up the difficulty for my second round. Although it’s hard giving up the food I loved so much, I have to say that I feel fantastic right now. I hope that I can drop 25 more before the end of March. Wish me luck.
My childhood wishes of living in the Star Wars universe have finally come true. North America has officially turned in to the Hoth System. I’m finding it hard to avoid the wall to wall news coverage of record snowfalls and blizzards that’s currently dominating the evening news.
Call me crazy, but every time I clear my driveway I get a funny feeling that I’m being watched. I just know that a Wampa Monster lurks in the mountainous snow banks waiting for the for a chance to hang me from the ceiling of his ice lair.
Bring on the Global Warming, El Nino…perhaps a massive solar flare can thaw things out.
I’m currently playing through Vigil’s Darksiders published by THQ. The engaging storyline follows War, one of the four horsemen of the apocalypse on a quest to figure out why the end times were brought forth prematurely. I’m having a blast playing through the game so far. The art direction is wonderful, I’ve been a longtime fan of Joe Madureira art ever since his run on Battle Chasers and he hasn’t lost his touch. Moving from area to area I can’t help noticing that something feels a little too familiar with the setup of the game. Hints of Zelda, God of War and Panzer Dragoon awaken this feeling of deja vu. Not in a bad way…actually the game feels like a greatest hits of past game mechanics wrapped in an crispy apocalyptic shell. Look no further if a dark version of Zelda is what you’re craving. I highly recommend this title and I can’t wait to finish the game.
If you’re playing through the game, let me know what you think.
