Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon Trailer

by T.J. on April 21, 2013 at 1:16 pm
Posted In: Blog

Ubisoft has captured all of the best ’80s action movies and combined them into a fantastic looking shooter. Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon will be cyber clawing it’s way onto XBLA, PSN, PC on May 1st. Even better new is that the voice acting of the main character, Rex Power Colt, is done by Michael Biehn. Yes! Hicks from Aliens and Reese from Terminator. How should they go about promoting this neon infused game? How about a Filmation-style VHS trailer of the game’s story with bad tracking. This looks fantastic I can’t wait dive into this 80s-inspired near future!

If you want a little taste of the soundtrack for the game you can sample it at: https://soundcloud.com/powerglove

Bungie shows off Destiny

by T.J. on February 17, 2013 at 4:35 pm

I’ve been a Bungie fan for quite some time, I loved the Myth series and I still remember their original Apple press conference presentation of HALO. They were the reason I waited up for the midnight launch of the original XBOX. This little ViDoc for their next IP, Destiny, has me drooling for more information. I can’t wait to see how they pull off a persistent-world console shooter. This has a feel of a MMO wold the action of a FPS and the most reassuring thing I heard was Activision Publishing CEO Eric Hirshberg’s statement claiming “absolutely no plans to charge a subscription fee.”

I think that Bungie has all of the pieces for their next Blockbuster and I can’t wait to see what’s ahead!

ICON 2012

by T.J. on November 13, 2012 at 12:47 am

I had a wonderful time at ICON 2012. It felt great to be a guest at the show and talk to old friends and hopefully a lot of new Geeko-System readers.

There seemed to be quite a few people in attendance this year. I hope that the Iowa Comic Book Club keeps the show at AllPlay it was a very cool venue for the event. I was pretty busy with commissions and sketches the entire show, so I wasn’t able to make the rounds to see other creators…there’s always next year. I hope that I’m still cranking out strips and I will do my best to attend the show.

I wanted to post some of the images I had from the show. Once again it was great to meet everyone, I hope to see you all again next year.
